What advice would you give to customers looking for a photographer in your area?

Make sure you love their style! Look at their portfolio carefully. Do you see a lot of candids you like mixed with posed photos? Are the photos dark and moody photos, or are they more light and airy? You should really like what you see on their website and their social media. Don’t expect different results than what you see in their work. Do the people in the photos look like they are happy and having a great time? That sort of thing cannot be faked by people who are not actors! Read their reviews and testimonials. You and your family will spend a lot of time with a photographer, so make sure you align with their values and that they are someone you feel comfortable with. 

How far in advance should I plan my session? 

The earlier, the better, as my schedule tends to fill out 3 months out. Portraits: 1-month minimum. Adventure sessions: 6 weeks minimum to allow me to coordinate with vendors. Elopements: 1-month minimum. 

Is there a changing room/bathroom at your studio? Can I get my makeup and hair done at your studio?

Yes, there is a changing room and a bathroom! I also have a room where you can easily get your makeup and hair done. Just let me know if you plan on having your hair and makeup done at the studio so I can accommodate your time frame.

If I have a specific vision for my photoshoot, can you work with me to make it a reality?

Absolutely. I love working with clients to achieve the photos that they have been dreaming of!

Can I bring my pet to your studio?

Pets are most welcome if they are leashed and trained. 

Can I bring props to the photoshoot? 

Yes, and they are encouraged!

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes, I do travel! As long as my travel expenses are covered, we are good to go!

What is the difference between a mini-session and a full portrait session?

Mini sessions are seasonal, short, and sweet (about 15 minutes), and I have many sessions scheduled that day. This is not a full photoshoot experience, but it is a perfect opportunity to get a family picture for your holiday cards or a post on social media. A portrait session is a complete photography session experience. I am dedicated to only you and your family and will work with you to get a wide range of candids and styled photos during our time together.Yes, I do travel! As long as my travel expenses are covered, we are good to go!

Can I rent your studio for a photoshoot or event? 

Yes, you can. Please inquire for more information!

For portraits, do you deliver every photo you take?

No. Photography is an art form; every image a photographer releases into the world represents their art. The best images are composed by choice of pose, lighting, equipment, location, and, most importantly, editing. I deliver 50+ photos per session representing my art, and you can choose the ones you wish to purchase. This keeps my services' costs down and photography affordable for my clients. The final photos you choose will get a lot of love and attention in the editing process, and you’ll receive fully retouched, high-resolution professional photos that stand the test of time. 

Can I purchase additional images than those provided in my package for portraits?

Of course! You can purchase single photos or additional images as bundles. The bundles are priced so that the more you buy, the more you save.

Do you provide wall art or albums?

I love helping clients design wall art and albums! Wall art design is a fully personalized service that considers the rooms where you want to place your images. For albums, we will work through choosing images and design. 

For event photography, do you deliver every photo you take?

Event photography is a bit different from portraits, as it tells the story of a day. Your final gallery will deliver all the photos necessary to tell your story! While I do not limit the photos I take for events, I edit them for blinks, blurs, or duplicates.

Do you provide RAW images?

I do not provide RAW images in any of my services.
